Alan E Williams

Mr. Alan Eugene "Gene" Williams, age 56 of Hiawassee, GA passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at his home. He was born to the late Clyde and Lassie (Walls) Williams on December 15, 1953 in Tucker, GA. He was an Honorary member of VFW. He is survived by his wife, Gail Williams, of Hiawassee, GA; daughter, Amanda Street, of Monroe, GA; sons, Dexter Williams, of Gainesville, GA; Jamie Williams, of Hiawassee, GA; Wayne Scoggins, of Lilburn, GA; Nathan Scoggins, of Hiawassee, GA; brother, Michael Williams, of Hiawassee, GA; five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 1:00PM from Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Ledford officiating. The body lay in state from 12-1PM. Music was provided by Bobby Taylor, Rodney and Becky Underwood, and Jimmy Bettress. Pallbearers were: Rex Walls, Don Williams, Mike Saturno, John Spiegel, Dean Swanson and Rodney Cordell. Honorary pallbearers were: Steve Spears, Dave Davis, Jimmy Welborn Stan Welborn, Mark Walls and John Haynes. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
